On Some Reasons and Factors of Criminalization of Minors

Currently, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev, systemic measures are being implemented in Uzbekistan aimed at nurturing a healthy and harmoniously developed society, forming patriotic youth, and turning them into active and dedicated participants in the large-scale reforms being carried out.

At the same time, the process of educating young people is influenced by negative factors (including external influences through the Internet, etc.). In this regard, it is necessary to identify the main causes of this negative phenomenon.

In particular, these include negative socio-psychological determinants, including elements of economic, political, legal, and everyday psychology at different levels of public consciousness, as well as the influence of social networks, which create prerequisites for committing crimes.

Various life situations of a minor and the conditions of their upbringing combine two opposite tendencies in their qualitative influence on personality: they either have a positive impact, contributing to the formation of positive qualities and legal culture, or make a person vulnerable to unfavorable external conditions and situations of a criminogenic nature.

The causes of crime are associated with the negative side of this contradiction — the conditions of unfavorable moral development of the individual.

The statistics presented above demonstrate that the problem of juvenile delinquency remains acute in modern society. In this regard, scientific interest in the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency is extremely high. However, despite the research conducted in this field worldwide, there is still no clear answer to a number of questions concerning the determinants of criminal behavior and the factors that contribute to its formation.
